My girlfriend and I have eaten sushi in many restaurants all over NYC and in Westchester but Sakura Garden will be hard to beat. Mouth watering, fresh, tasty and the presentation was outstanding. The staff did an outstanding job and their recommendation on the special rolls were right on time.
We will no longer have to travel to NYC for sushi ever again. So for all you sushi lovers, you must put Sakura Garden on your list of things to do before you leave this planet.

Great little sushi place in the heart of Hastings. Service is prompt and the prices are extremely affordable. The lunch specials are the best in terms of value, you can get a ton of food for a fraction of the price you would pay elsewhere. Their menu has something for everyone. My girlfriend is a sushi-nut yet I do not enjoy it but they have a great non sushi menu to choose from, especially their Hibachi selection. I have been going there since they opened last October and have been back every month since.

Our favorite sushi spot in all of the river towns. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive, and the food is always good. Be sure to look at the board by the TV to see what special rolls of the day are.

Love Sakura Garden. Service is great, friendly staff & great food. Shrimp & vegetable hibachi is great, Yummi Yummi roll & various sushi rolls are just as awesome too. Fresh, delicious & reasonable price for Hastings. Delivery is just as good as eating in the restaurant. Lunch menu is a plus. We find ourselves going to the restaurant often & ordering on the nights we want to stay in.

I’ve been eating @ least once a week for the past year now. Sushi is fresh and fairly priced. Oyako Don is my favorite dish. Highlights are good fast friendly service. Toni Sharon Jenny and Alex go out of the way to make you feel like a family. It’s may not be as hip and a place to be seen like some other places but the quality speaks for its self

This is by far one of my favorite sushi spots. I am a big fan of sushi, as well as Sakura. The staff is very attentive, nice & helpful. They have a wide variety of all different types of speciality rolls, Tobiko Rainbow Roll is delicious! Fish is ALWAYS fresh & tastes AMAZING! Would have given 5 Stars but the decor is a bit ehhh. Definitley worth trying! It is AMAZE!

Just outside of Yonkers is a little town called Hastings on the Hudson. If you've never been, it treats you to a spectacular view of NJ's Palisades and this little sushi restaurant which was almost packed next to a deserted Chinese takeout place.
My friend and I started out with the Hot and Sour Seafood Soup, Edamame, and Tempura Vegetables. The edamame came out first and was very fresh. The tender beans popped right out. This was followed by the soup, which was surprisingly non-fishy smelling, yet chalked full of shrimp, crab, squid, and fish in a spicy, lightly-tart, broth. The tempura veggies were delicious as well, being lightly battered with just a tiny bit of crunch left in them.
We followed this up with a couple sushi rolls each (we were starving) which I wish I could remember the names of (I believe we had had a Monster Roll, Dynamite Roll, Rainbow Roll, and one other). All were delicious and fresh with the fish slightly chilled and the rice still slightly warm.
All this, plus two beers, totaled $76 (including tax). Best Japanese restaurant I've eaten at in over 6 years.
I should add that despite being busy, the staff was polite , prompt, and overall, excellent. I will definitely be returning on my next trip that direction.

Sakura Garden is a newly opened Japanese delight in downtown Hastings. Located conveniently near the train station and library. Beautifully renovated and accompanied by a menu that has everything for the sushi aficionado, this family run establishment will satisfy. Sushi appetizers and special rolls are feasts for both the eyes and the palate. You must eat first with your eyes, then with your mouth. Sushi known as 'edible art' is surpassed by the sushi chef in both freshness and creativity. Over a dozen hibachi dinner selections from the kitchen are also available. P.S. Bathrooms are spotless, the fish used is brought in fresh each day, and reservations suggested.
